What is the bbfc?
The BBFC is the British Board of Film Classification. It is responsible for the classification and censorship of films exhibited in cinema and on video. It sets age restrictions on films to allow audiences to be aware of their target audience.
Our horror will be a 15 so that we have a wider range of target audience. A 15 is usually scarier than an 18 because an 18 includes more gory pictures whereas a 15 only includes some scenes of violence. |
Most horror films fit into the ratings of 15 and 18. This is because they involve death scenes, weapons and gore.
